America, the 'fattest country'
Tuesday, December 29, 2009

Well, I've just finished reading my friend, Michelle's blog about her trip in America and how wonderful it was and yes it did sound beautiful. However she did quote that "The food is awesome but the quantities are HUGE!!" which made me thought about how America is considered the 'fattest country' - yes that's just a metaphor - we're talking about it's people. It could be an exaggeration, but if Australia is the second fattest country, then who's to say America isn't first? They're first with nearly everything anyway, such as landing on the Moon.
Today I went shopping by myself - yes I know, that's lame, my friends all lashed out on me. - at High Point and entered Cotton On. Going through the tags on the clothes I noticed that the sizes in countries were different. take for Example for a shirt I saw. The size analogies of the very same shirt was an AUS M would be a USA S and an AUS size 10 was a USA 6. No, I'm not joking, these comparisons were of the same shirts.
Furthermore, if you've watched the documentary Super Size Me by Morgan Spurlock, you'll see what I mean. Morgan highlights how America was indeed the 'fattest country' because of fast food franchise such as McDonald's.
